Carpe Diem Haiku Kai

 Sweet on the spring wind
 Cherry blossoms fell. On her
  Harugi, blood dripped

My haiku is for those little known women that fought alongside their samurai brothers to protect their homes, families and honor in time of war.

  1. Thank you for this great background about Onna-bugeisha, I had never heard from the "female samourai". You have honored them with your haiku in a very strong and loving way.

  2. Unexpectedly dramatical turn, yet beautiful and fragile. You really have managed to create a story in just three lines.
