Friday Fictioneers 100 word challenge/  My 100 word Flash Fiction called .....Cabin Fever

She never meant to stay this long. The trip up the mountain to their cabin was just to get him to sign the papers and say good-bye to the person she had loved since high school.  But when the weather changed suddenly, she found herself trapped with a man and a place she distasted.

But faith played its last card, giving them time to truly talk about their problems. By the first thaw they had found their way back to love. She had an aversion to anything rustic, but his oversized shirts and rugged  boots were stylish in the right settings.

Thank you ......Friday Fictioneers

  2. Dear Glynis,

What a wonderful story...the kind that makes me smile all over.
Only a quarrel with grammar..."and a place she distaste" doesn't makes sense to me. Perhaps disliked would be a clearer choice? Or distasted...archaic but proper.

At any rate, this doesn't detract from a lovely romance, full of hope.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

  5. Nothing can be better than be locked inside a cabin together -- either they end up killing each other... or the resolve their differences.. city girl vs. country man always work in a romantic setting.
