Trifecta Weekend Eighty/The Egg Walk

Welcome again everyone to another Trifecta Challenge.

This weekend prompt from the lovely people at Trifecta is to write a 33-word response that uses the word tooth.  Any definition of the word can be used.  My contribution this weekend is called The Egg Walk. I hope you will enjoy.

The egg walk was at its end. It was now or never.
Paula tried to trip, but with a perfect pirouette Rachel avoided.

Paula stumbled, lost her egg and fell, chipping her tooth.

Thank you for reading.

    1. Thank you so much Ivy for read this short piece.

I used the the Free Dictionary Thesaurus of Tooth
*projection - any structure that branches out from a central support*

When Paula raked her leg it was a projection from her body. I guess I should have used projected instead of racked.

    1. Hi Draug!
Thank you for reading this, Ivy informed me of the same.

As I told her, I used the the Free Dictionary Thesaurus of Tooth
*projection - any structure that branches out from a central support*

Where I used raked her leg I should have used projected instead.

Perhaps I will get it right the next time. Thank you again for reading it.

    2. Hi enjoyed your piece

for the game the actual word "tooth" needs to be included in the piece not just a synonym of the word - but it's just a game you certainly don't have to change it

these are the miriam webster definitions you could have used - usually it is only the 3rd definition of the word allowed

      Definition of TOOTH
      1
a : one of the hard bony appendages that are borne on the jaws or in many of the lower vertebrates on other bones in the walls of the mouth or pharynx and serve especially for the prehension and mastication of food and as weapons of offense and defense
b : any of various usually hard and sharp processes especially about the mouth of an invertebrate
      2
      : taste, liking
      3
: a projection resembling or suggesting the tooth of an animal in shape, arrangement, or action <a saw tooth: as
a : any of the regular projections on the circumference or sometimes the face of a wheel that engage with corresponding projections on another wheel especially to transmit force : cog
      b : a small sharp-pointed marginal lobe or process on a plant

Yes she was cheating, bad girl.
