Welcome again everyone to another Trifecta Challenge.
This weekend prompt from the lovely people at Trifecta is to write a 33-word response that uses the word tooth. Any definition of the word can be used. My contribution this weekend is called The Egg Walk. I hope you will enjoy.
The egg walk was at its end. It was now or never.
Paula tried to trip, but with a perfect pirouette Rachel avoided.
Paula stumbled, lost her egg and fell, chipping her tooth.

Thank you for reading.
Fun story, but I think you forgot to include "tooth."
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ivy for read this short piece.
DeleteI used the the Free Dictionary Thesaurus of Tooth
*projection - any structure that branches out from a central support*
When Paula raked her leg it was a projection from her body. I guess I should have used projected instead of racked.
There's still time to revise this to meet the requirements if you wish. :)
DeleteI didn't know, thanks! ;)
DeleteGlynis,
DeleteSo glad to see you revised your story. I enjoyed reading both versions. Serves Paula right! :)
Thanks Ivy!
DeleteI hope Paula likes sunny side up eggs :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so Jannatwrites for reading this piece but I've been told that it doesn't met the requirements.
DeleteI hope she does too. 8)
This is good but...the word "tooth" wasn't used in any form...
ReplyDeleteHi Draug!
DeleteThank you for reading this, Ivy informed me of the same.
As I told her, I used the the Free Dictionary Thesaurus of Tooth
*projection - any structure that branches out from a central support*
Where I used raked her leg I should have used projected instead.
Perhaps I will get it right the next time. Thank you again for reading it.
Hi enjoyed your piece
Deletefor the game the actual word "tooth" needs to be included in the piece not just a synonym of the word - but it's just a game you certainly don't have to change it
these are the miriam webster definitions you could have used - usually it is only the 3rd definition of the word allowed

Thank you Steve.
ReplyDeleteI will try to do better following the rules next time out.
Judging from your comments here, I'm reading a revised version of your story. Thanks for linking up with this fun piece. My kids were recently in an egg walk race, and reading this brought a smile.
ReplyDeleteYes it has been revised. Thank you for reading it anyway, I'm glad it brought you a smile.
DeleteOoo, serves Paula right, for trying to cheat! :) Great job.
ReplyDeleteOf course, now I'm curious how the original went, before you revised it.
Thank you Trudgingthroughfog for reading this piece
DeleteYes she was cheating, bad girl.
It seems I should always follow the rules just like Paula. :)
