Author's Fair

Last Saturday I attended the Memphis Area BookStock Author’s Fair held at the main public library. And it was a wonderful affair that was free to the public.  BookStock invited over 40 local published authors to  showcase their books.
The Keynote speaker was Kristen Iversen, author of  Full Body Burden: Growing up in the nuclear shadow of Rocky Flats.

She presented a wonderful address: A Passion for Story: From book idea to finished manuscript. That kept the large crowd engaged. With this being a voting season, our congressman also spoke. There was live music, cooking demos, and author discussions and seminar.  As well as adult, children and team programmed events. There was even an author scavenger hunt for prizes like free books and eBooks and other prizes.  This was the second year for the Fair.
Hopefully, with a lot of hard work and a  few  doors being open to me. I hope to be an author at next years Fair.  Wish me luck!
